The MIT Enterprise Forum of Pittsburgh is committed to supporting technology entrepreneurs throughout the Pittsburgh region in monthly discussion panels that showcase important advances and issues - a place where innovators, funders, and talent meet.  On March 20th, the evening Forum will focus on Life Sciences and will showcase exciting companies from our region who are using robotics and technology to solve healthcare challenges.

Robots and technology play a critical, and growing, role in modern medicine from training the next generation of providers, to diagnostics, medical devices, to patient care and support.  With robots, procedures can be performed with smaller incisions to reduce surgery length and hospital stays while improving patients' prognoses with lower costs. As technology is miniaturized and continues to be further integrated with artificial intelligence, healthcare will continuously expand the applications for robotics and technology to save patients, improve quality of life and prevent health problems.

The Forum will feature 4 innovative health care company executives who will spend 10 - 15 minutes describing their technology and their business model.

Following the panel presentations, the audience will be invited to ask questions of the panelists.

PITCH, CONNECT, NETWORK

Are you an entrepreneur? Got a medical device idea? You can have the chance to give a 90 second pitch and get exposure and valuable feedback.
Are you a researcher? Student? You can share your research in a 90 second summary and get insight from the panel on applications, product, market and networking opportunities.

(note: A limited number of entrepreneurs and researchers will be selected for the 'pitch' portion of the program.)

Please join us to learn more about exciting advances happening in your own back yard.  The event is open to everyone, with a special price for students.  So, join us March 20th at 5:30 pm for registration, networking and hors d'oeuvres.  The program will begin at 6:30 - 7:30 followed by an audience Q&A session.  There will also be time after the presentation for further networking and to interact directly with the panelists.

PARKING: As you turn onto Technology Drive from Second Avenue, follow the driveway leading to the Thermo Fisher Scientific building. (Parking is restricted to unnumbered spaces at the Thermo Fisher building.) If the lot is full, additional parking is available in an overflow lot by continuing east down Second Avenue; after passing Hot Metal Street at the light, make the next right at the light into the parking lot.  Once parked, you will see a walkway that will lead you under the bridge and back to Bridgeside Point.   Please walk to the front entrance in order to check in with security.
